yes Iam thinking about gettting the 12 buckit system and i was wondering about the feeding how manny times you feed a day 6 mins 10 times a day 1 time 30 mins ? i need the info plaese ty -Hias420

The system comes with a recommended feeding chart. You would want to water about 3 times a day for 15 minutes each time depending on how big your plants are and how much water they are taking up. for little plants that are not taking up that much water 2 times a day for 15 minutes would be ok. -Greners Staff

i need some instructions on how to set the controller unit..... my pots seem to overflow an spill all over the floor..... -tee

http://www.randmsupply.com/images/link/EBB-12Instructions.pdf -Greners Staff

need some help setting my controller unit... too much water is being pumped into the pots an it ends up on the floor....please help -tee

If your control bucket is higher than the other buckets the float will be above the edge of the rim of the buckets, thus allowing them to overflow. Make sure your floor is level. If that doesn't work make sure you have you the pumps plugged into the right relayed sockets.i.e fill pump and fill sockets. Another problem may be that you didn't use the anti siphon 1/2" elbow ( the one with the silver tape on it has a whole drilled into so when the pump shuts off it stops a siphon from happening). -Greners Staff

Will the C.A.P. Ebb & Gro Hydro System - Complete, fit in the Secret Jardin Dark Room Pro DR240W II Grow Tent (4x8) -Don Evans

Yes, this will fit in a Secret Jardin DR240W. Additionally, you could place the 55 gallon reservoir outside the tent to control temperatures and save space. -Greners Staff

Does this system come with the nutrients? -amin

The choice of a nutrient line is highly personal, so virtually no systems come with nutrients. However, many of our plant food manufacturers, including General Organics, House and Garden and Advanced Nutrients offer complete nutrient kits with everything you need to get started. You can find those kits at the link below by selecting the fertilizer and amendment brand you are interested in. http://www.greners.com/nutrients-additives.html -Greners Staff

whats the smallest tent this set up could fit into? -Fuzzy

the DR 120 would work as long as the reservoir is placed outside the tent. -Greners Staff

how many gallons are each grow pot?the reeason i ask If I want to expand do I need an additional reservoir??For example If each grow pot to be filled takes 2gallons to water it would take more than 55 gallons to water 36 site.... -jason

3 gallon pots, and yes you would need a larger reservoir, however that's the measurement of water without any grow media in the pots -Greners Staff

Do you have a larger version of the C.A.P. Ebb & Gro Hydro System - Complete -ann

Definitely, If you are looking to go a bit larger than the C.A.P. Ebb & Gro Hydro System - Complete, I would recommend the C.A.P. Monster Ebb and Grow Hydro System 6 Site - Complete which can be found at the link provided below! http://www.greners.com/c-a-p-monster-ebb-and-grow-hydro-system-6-site-complete.html -Greners Staff

I am thinking seriously about purchasing one of these 12 site ebb and grow units. I was wondering if I expanded up to 24 sites would I be able to run my plants right through flower in the 2gal pots? Seems like its to small when you include growing media (hydroton). I was also reading that they are 3gal pots? Which is it 2 or 3 because the info says 2. I just want a unit I can run my plants from veg to flower in the same buckets the whole cycle. -Joseph B.

You can run you plants though flower in 1gal pots if you wanted but, the size pot will reflect in the size of the plant and flowers produced. The buckets that come with this kit are 2 Gallons (both inner and outer) per CAP on their instruction sheet. -Greners Staff

How often do you have to change the water in the 55 gallon reservoir -Rob

Hey Rob, In a recirculating system like that one I'd recommend changing it out once a week. Don't forget to check the pH of the system daily. Cheers, -Greners Staff

Product Information

The Ebb & Gro (comes with 12 planters and is expandable to 48+) is the most versatile ebb & flow system on the market. With many growers going from large numbers of small plants to fewer, larger ones, the Ebb & Gro fits the bill! It is a simple system that uses 2 pumps and gravity to flood and drain the planters about 3 or 4 times per day.

The system works by connecting all of the grow pots to the controller unit. All necessary tubing and fittings are included with the system. Then you just set the timer to fill and drain the pots about 3 or 4 times a day. When the fill and drain cycle that you set comes on, it turns on the pump in the large reservoir (the 55 gallon drum), and starts filling the controller unit. Since the grow pots are all plumbed to the controller unit, the water in the entire system starts to level off with the controller unit. When the pots are full, and your drain cycle starts, the pump in the controller unit pumps all of the water back into the reservoir. When the level of the water in the controller unit goes down, all of the grow pots levels go down also. Then the controller unit waits for the next fill and drain cycle a few hours later.

The grow pots are 2 gallons and are filled with grow rocks. Each grow pot consists of 2 pots nested inside each other, the inner pot has a lot of holes in the bottom to allow the water to enter the grow medium and the root zone. This will allow you to be able to pick up the inner pot and move the plants from one site to another on the system. This will allow for even plant growth even at the edges of your garden, where the plants don't get as much light! Since your pumps are only pumping a short time each day, the system is extremely reliable. Your plants have 2 gallons of space in which to have root growth, so the size of your plants is not an issue. If they get larger than you anticipated, you can space the grow pots further apart. The the plants can be as close as 10 apart, so they can be packed into a small area if you desire. Versatility is what you get with this system.

Additional grow pots can be added at a later time. Each 6 pot add-on includes all of the tubing and fittings needed. You do need one 50 liter bag of grow rocks or 2 21 liter bags of Higromite. Controller units are available separately if you wish to make your own system and they include the pumps.

Note: Grow rocks are not included with purchase. Two 50 liter bags of grow rock must be purchased separately to complete system.
